Editors note: Welcome to our new feature, "Its a Date." Here, we take all the planning for a night out on the town out of your hands. Each week well try to include a hot spot for dinner, an event and a place for winding down. Enjoy!

With the Ohio State and Miami fans long gone, and ASU students still two weeks away from returning to Tempe, youve got the run of Mill Avenue.

In order to get you out and about on Tempes most happenin drag before the college kids invade yet again, weve designed an evening of fun for oldschool Mill Avenue hipsters.

From the best wings in town to the funkiest art this side of Soho, this anticorporate evening is sure to remind you why you fell in love with Mill in the fi rst place.

Caffé Boa, 709 S. Mill Ave., Tempe, From its romantic, twinkle-lit patio to its cozy atmosphere, Boa and Olive Garden are as different as two Italian eateries can be. Owned and operated by husband-and-wife team Jay and Christine Wisniewski, this fi rst-date favorite has been serving up innovative worldly cuisine for nearly 10 years. The perfect setting for people-watching and sipping a glass of wine, Boa will get your evening off on a feel-good foot.

Rezurrection Gallery, 601 W. University Drive, Tempe, Damian and Darci Johnsons funky art space has been dazzling patrons since it opened just over two years ago. Rezurrection which boasts such eclectic items as plush furniture, vintage jewelry and vintage home accessories also represents an up-and-coming artist every month. Through Wednesday, you can check out a furniture show showcasing works from several local artists.

Long Wongs, 701 S. Mill Ave., Tempe, Though this hole-in-the-wall may be short on style, the bar known for its killer wings and its small stage, which has hosted some of the hottest local bands is big on substance. Long Wongs is the perfect place to wrap up your old-school Mill evening, as the patio is the gathering place of choice for ASU grads, musicians and folks from the neighborhood.
