The route down Arizona Avenue begins at Ray Road and continues south to Chicago Street, a block south of Dr. A.J. Chandler Park. Bring lawn chairs for optimum comfort during the parade. Some perennial participants will be back, including the El Zaribah Shrine – funny hats! funny cars! – and Chandler high school marching bands. Other entries to watch for include the Wells Fargo horse-drawn stagecoach, Miss Indian Arizona and the Sun City West Jazzy Poms***, a group of 60- to 80-year-old women who still have the boots (and figures!) to march as a pom squad. |
