Spice up the party with distinctive cocktail options

Heading to a party and want to bring the perfect accessory? Leave the 12-pack of Miller Lite behind and try one of these fun cocktail options that will have everyone talking.

Lindemans Framboise
Ladies will go wild for this rose-hued Belgium beer — served in cocktail glasses in breweries such as Four Peaks and The Yardhouse — which has a full raspberry flavor and won't leave you making that bitter beer face. The brew also comes in peach and apple flavors, but raspberry is the tops in our book. (Trader Joe's, $8)

Mike-a-Rita
Since not everyone is a bartender, the Mike-A-Rita is ideal. It's a pre-made margarita that comes in two sizes — 750 ML and 1.75 ML bottle — and a four-pack, which is perfect for lounging poolside. ($7-$14, grocery retailers)

Carlos Rossi Sangria
The medium-bodied Carlo Rossi Sangria is full of fruit flavors — notes of orange, lemon and grapefruit — and makes a refreshing cocktail option that goes well with a barbecue or a nice dinner. ($7-$10, grocery retailers)

Three Olives Cherry Vodka
There are a few flavored vodka brands on the market, but we recommend Three Olives for a drink that will go down smoothly. Mix the cherry-flavored vodka with Diet Coke for a twist on a Diet Cherry Coke. Three Olives also comes in raspberry, chocolate, orange, vanilla and green apple flavors. ($20-$23, liquor stores)
