Need to get into the holiday spirit? We found a variety of East Valley night spots that have transformed themselves into winter wonderlands to help you do just this.
You’ll feel like you’re in the middle of a white Christmas at Suede (7307 E. Indian Plaza, Scottsdale, [480] 970- 6969) where the restaurant and lounge is decorated with everything from fake snow to clear lights. We love the faux snow-covered patio.
Like its neighbor, Axis-Radius (7340 E. Indian Plaza, ) is illuminated with bright white lights from the bushes to the tree trunks. The chic dance club is also decorated with large holiday wreaths throughout.
A massive Christmas tree and upside down Christmas tree bring a little holiday cheer to Myst (7340 E. Shoeman Lane, Scottsdale, ). The swanky dance club also features an assortment of various Christmas decorations.
Barcelona (15440 N. Greenway Hayden Loop, Scottsdale, ) is also decorated with a large Christmas tree, wreaths aplenty and colorful lights.
The Salty Señorita (3636 N. Scottsdale Road, ) is decked out with lights, Christmas trees and candy canes everywhere.
Scottsdale’s Dos Gringos (4209 N. Craftsman Court, ) is perhaps the most spirted locale we’ve seen this season. Colorful lights are strung throughout the bar and several large illuminated snowmen and Santas decorate the rooftops. The downstairs bar sparkles with tinsel, fake snow, snowmen, reindeer, gingerbread men and more lights. And Santa is coming! Dos is inviting patrons to get their photos taken with the jolly man on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day for $2.
Dos Gringos Trailer Park (1001 E. Eighth St., Tempe, ) dazzles with white lights, candy canes, stockings and large inflated Santas and polar bears.
Red and green lights illuminate Maloney’s on Campus (955 E. University Drive, Tempe, ) from the patio lamp posts to the lights that shine on its interior walls.
The Scottsdale Maloney’s (7318 E. Stetson Drive, ) is decked out with large colorful Christmas lights outside and inside the bar.
Sugar Daddy’s (3102 N. Scottsdale Road, Scottsdale, ) shines with a plethora of Christmas lights. Christmas trees, red ribbons and a pine tree with 15,000 lights decorate the bar’s patio. You’ll find the staff attired in Santa hats and red and green outfits the week of Christmas.
Drift (4341 N. 75th St., Scottsdale, ) glows with Christmas lights which are hung throughout the lounge. Be sure to check out the bar’s Moai (the large illuminated head) which is dressed up as Santa Claus.
Twinkle lights and garland spruce up the Half Moon Sports Grill (325 W. Elliot Road, Tempe, ), a new upscale sports bar which opened earlier this month.
